OUR PROCESS

Our Process

We have a multistep process to help us provide

the best possible outcome for your remodel.

The walk-through phase

When any potential client reaches out to us, our first step is to give some basic information over the photo, or via email, in order to make sure we are the best fit for your project. This includes giving transparent information, such as average cost and how far out we are currently booked. If that all sounds good, we then schedule a walk-through where we will come out to inspect the project site in person.

During the walk-through, we will discuss any changes you would like to make to the layout, get the measurements needed to quote to project, and get a general idea of your vision for your space. Once we have the necessary information, we will send you a preliminary estimate via email within the next three business days.

Once we have the necessary information, we will send you a preliminary estimate via email within the next three business days.

The preliminary estimate will contain pricing and a scope of work. Using that information, you are now able to make the most informed decision whether you'd like to move forward to the next phase. The next step in our process is the design meeting.
These meeting are typically a few hours in order to get more details to create your final proposal, discuss any changes to the layout, and get more accurate measurements to create a blueprint of the space.
We will also determine whether you would like to purchase the selectable materials, or if you would like us to handle that process on your behalf.
After the design meeting, we will put together a formal proposal with all the details of your project. This will include the payment breakdown, a more detailed scope of work, material allowances (if we are purchasing materials on your behalf), and more. Once you have signed and made your down payment (
learn more about our payment process here), we will move to the ordering process!

Once you have received your preliminary estimate, if everything looks to be in the ballpark that works with your budget, we will set up a design meeting to nail down the details of your project.

The ordering phase

The next step is the fun part, where you'll have the option to handpick all the items to make your project reflective of your taste. We have a few different options for this process.

Option A.

If you would like the most control over selecting your items, you are welcome to buy all of your items, aside from standard building materials. We will guide you and make sure that you are getting compatible items.

Option B.

If you would like to select your items in person, and would like to utilize our extensive vendor network, we can set up appointments with our primary vendors. Many of them have a team in place to help provide guidance on the items they specialize in, for added peace of mind.

Option C.

Another popular option, if you would like to select your items, but prefer the convenience of getting everything selected swiftly, we can order from the comfort of your living room by setting up an ordering meeting. This can be done in person or via Google Meet call. For this meeting, we would go over some design aesthetics and show you some recommended options online in order to help make selections.

Option D.
The final option is great if you would like to minimize your workload. If you give us enough information during the design phase to recommend selections, we can send you options via email to make the ordering process as simple as possible.

All of these options can also be mixed and matched to meet your preference. If you'd like to go to our vendors to pick out tile and countertops, and then have us send options for the rest, we can do that too.

If you would like to select your items, but would like us to purchase them on your behalf and deal with the ordering and shipping process, we would be happy to do that.

If we are buying your items, we have a couple way to go about that. Firstly, we can send you to some of our preferred vendors, who we work with regularly, to help you pick out things like cabinetry, tile, flooring, and more.
The second option is for us to have an ordering meeting. For this meeting, we would meet you at your home and go over some design aesthetics and show you some options online in order to help make selections.

Once all the selected items are on site, it's time to schedule your project! Construction phases can vary a bit from project to project based on the scope of work and the needs of the homeowner.
On demo day, the project manager will meet with the homeowner and the crew to review the scope and make sure that everyone is on the same page.

Once all the selected items are on site, we are ready to start the project! Construction is noisy and can be irritating, so it is up to you whether you want to be home for the process. Depending on the complexity of the project, the age of the home, and many other factors, sometimes changes come up. As soon as we are aware of these changes, we will inform you of what is necessary to resolve the issue. We will then create a signable change order, which will be added to the initial contract. Once the project is almost complete, the project manager will work with you to create a punch list detailing anything that you would like to be addressed before signing off on the completion of the project.
